In a groundbreaking move for the AI infrastructure space, cloud computing company CoreWeave has become the first to deploy Nvidia’s cutting-edge Blackwell Ultra GPUs, integrated into Dell Technologies’ next-gen liquid-cooled servers. This strategic rollout positions CoreWeave at the forefront of AI scalability and efficiency while marking a significant step forward for Nvidia’s latest hardware ecosystem.
The GB300 NVL72 systems, which pair 72 Nvidia Blackwell Ultra GPUs with 36 Grace CPUs per rack, deliver a 50% performance boost over the previous Hopper-based architecture. Dell has engineered and pre-assembled the systems in the U.S., then delivered them directly to CoreWeave’s data centers. These advanced AI servers are designed to cater to the growing demand for generative AI models, offering massive gains in speed, power efficiency, and inference performance.
Blackwell Ultra: A New Benchmark in AI Capability
Nvidia’s GB300 NVL72 platform isn’t just an upgrade; it represents a leap. According to Nvidia and CoreWeave, the system achieves up to 50x faster inference for complex reasoning tasks, a 10x improvement in user responsiveness, and is 5x more efficient in throughput per watt compared to the previous generation.
The racks, each reportedly costing up to $3.8 million, use advanced liquid-cooling to manage thermal output and reduce operational costs, a critical advantage in AI-scale computing. Dell’s role in this collaboration highlights its growing stake in the AI hardware space, offering a “turnkey” approach to deploying complex, high-power GPU clusters.
This deployment also underscores Nvidia’s shift toward supporting an expanding network of “neocloud” providers, specialized AI-focused infrastructure companies like CoreWeave, Lambda, and Voltron Data, allowing Nvidia to reduce dependency on traditional hyperscalers such as Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.
Investor Confidence and Market Implications
Wall Street responded favorably to the announcement. Nvidia’s stock received fresh price-target hikes with Mizuho raising it to $185 as analysts cited growing momentum in AI hardware demand. Dell, too, is expected to gain significantly, with AI server revenue projected to exceed $16 billion next year.
CoreWeave has seen explosive growth since its IPO in March 2025. Backed early by Nvidia with a $350 million investment and a $320 million service deal, the company’s valuation has skyrocketed, giving Nvidia’s 7% stake an estimated worth of over $2 billion. Analysts now view as a credible challenger to legacy cloud giants, bolstered by its preferential access to Nvidia’s top-tier chips and strategic partnerships.
However, some caution remains. CoreWeave plans to spend over $21.5 billion in infrastructure investments this year, a move seen as high-risk but potentially high-reward. For now, the strategic trio of Nvidia, Dell, and CoreWeave appears to be setting the pace in the AI infrastructure race.
