Scribe Technology Solutions commenced its journey from scratch, without pre-existing staff, software, or clientele. Over the years, we have successfully handled more than 50 million patient encounters, catering to the needs of over 40,000 medical providers across various specialties, ranging from solo practitioners to university hospital systems, throughout the United States.

Are there any recent additions to your lineup of products/services that you’d like to highlight?
We’re excited to introduce our latest offering, Scribe TeleCare, which was originally slated for launch in Spring 2020. Little did we anticipate that its introduction would coincide with the onset of a global pandemic. Nonetheless, we are grateful for the opportunity to provide our providers with a much-needed service during such a critical time.
What do you believe are the key responsibilities of an entrepreneur?
In my view, entrepreneurs are tasked with setting a compelling vision for their ventures, assembling a talented team, and maintaining a mindset that is open to possibilities and continual growth.
Could you please provide an overview of your professional background?
Prior to establishing Scribe Technology Solutions, I accumulated over thirty years of management experience across various domains including finance, operations, marketing, and technology. Notably, I contributed to the inception of the IBM PC division and played a pivotal role in formulating growth strategies at Anixter, resulting in the company’s expansion from a $500 million to a $1.5 billion enterprise.
What are the significant milestones in your entrepreneurial journey?
Venturing into the healthcare sector presented formidable challenges, but the creation of a sustainable company capable of competing in this complex market was a significant achievement. Witnessing the positive impact of Scribe Technology Solutions on our providers reaffirms the purpose behind its establishment.
How do you prioritize the well-being of your employees? What sets your team apart?
The composition of Scribe Technology Solutions’ team is distinctive, comprising individuals from companies that have merged with or been acquired by us, as well as those with whom I have collaborated in previous ventures. Operating remotely, our team members enjoy flexible work schedules tailored to accommodate their professional commitments while fostering a conducive work environment.
Could you share a memorable experience with one of your clients?
Scribe Technology Solutions has had the privilege of supporting behavioral health professionals, a specialty known for its high caseload and demanding documentation requirements. Traditionally, these professionals faced challenges in managing their patient encounters efficiently, especially with the need for extensive narrative documentation and frequent travel between locations.
However, with the introduction of ScribeMobile, they gained the ability to complete documentation tasks anytime, anywhere, even while on the move. This flexibility significantly enhanced their productivity and allowed them to focus more on patient care. Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, ScribeTeleCare proved invaluable for behavioral health practitioners, enabling them to conduct remote visits when face-to-face interactions were restricted.
Could you share your favorite book and a meaningful quote from it?
One of my all-time favorite books is “Illusions” by Richard Bach, and a quote that has always resonated with me is: “You are never given a wish without the power to make it come true – you may, however, have to work for it.”
Who do you admire the most?
Among those I greatly admire are my father and Walt Disney, whose entrepreneurial journey serves as a profound source of inspiration to me.

To navigate the competitive landscape, I prioritize self-care and stress management. Engaging in activities like running, meditation, socializing with friends, and indulging in culinary pursuits helps me maintain balance amidst the pressures of the industry.
