Automation software leader UiPath announced UiPath leadership changes and board additions in New York on Wednesday to strengthen operations and support future growth across global business markets.

UIpath leadership changes include Hitesh Ramani as new chief financial officer

Hitesh Ramani took over the chief financial officer role to lead global financial and accounting operations. He joined the enterprise software company in 2021 as chief accounting officer before expanding his duties into deputy chief financial officer in 2024.

Ramani brings more than 25 years of comprehensive accounting and finance experience to his new position, including spending two decades working at Deloitte as a partner serving large registered companies.

Chief Executive Officer Daniel Dines praised the executive team changes during the corporate announcement on Wednesday afternoon. “As our business has grown, we’ve increasingly focused on execution as a growth driver for our product roadmap, our business, and ultimately, customer success,” Dines stated.

He noted that these planned leadership changes represent a logical next step for the team to operate with greater speed and accountability.

Ashim Gupta focuses on daily operations

As part of the UiPath leadership changes, Ashim Gupta will transition to focus exclusively on day-to-day company operations following Ramani’s promotion to chief financial officer. Gupta previously held combined leadership responsibilities during his tenure guiding business growth and taking on the additional chief operating officer role in 2024.

In his newly focused role, he will drive greater discipline and consistency across the global go-to-market organization and daily processes.

Dines emphasized that these veteran leaders have built strong foundations for the business over many years. “Ashim, Hitesh, and Brad have each played critical roles in building UiPath into the company it is today, and I’m excited for their continued leadership as we execute against the significant opportunity ahead of us in business orchestration and automation,” Dines said. The company expects these structural adjustments to improve overall product execution speed.

Yazdi Bagli joins board of directors

Brad Brubaker also received a title expansion to become chief legal and administrative officer. He will now oversee the company’s people organization in addition to managing regular legal and compliance duties across corporate divisions.

Brubaker joined the enterprise in 2019 after spending more than 25 years at software giant SAP leading large legal teams across multiple countries.

Additionally, the company appointed Yazdi Bagli to its board of directors to expand total board membership size. Bagli brings extensive technology leadership expertise from his executive role heading information technology at Kaiser Permanente.

Dines expressed excitement about welcoming Bagli to help guide the enterprise forward through its next phase. “I’m thrilled to have someone with Yazdi’s deep technology leadership expertise and large-scale operational discipline join our Board,” Dines noted.

Overall, the UiPath leadership changes are aimed at improving accountability, operational discipline and execution across the company.
